Dressing for Spring/Summer: The Male Fashion Trends to FollowPosted on the 10th March, 2016
With spring just around the corner – astronomically speaking, it’ll start peeking through on March 20th this year – it’s time to start thinking about what style you’re going to be incorporating into your wardrobe this coming season. Although you won’t be able to give up your big or tall jackets once and for all (we do live in Britain after all) there are a few less thermal options on offer that you may want to get your hands on!
In January, London Fashion Week did share some easy-to-wear attire ideas with us, but sometimes style is more than just what you wear – it’s about how you wear it.
With that in mind, here are some of the trends you should start injecting into your wardrobe and a few ideas about how to pair them.
Although we don’t recommend that you stop rocking your favourite pair of Hawaiian shorts, we are pretty excited about the minimal palette that is going to be making an appearance this season.
Spring and summer is usually a time to wear brightly coloured attire to reflect the mood you feel when the sun eventually rears its head. That’s not to say that you will have to throw out all of the brightly coloured clothing that you’ve accumulated over the years, but chucking in some muted tones will create a strong S/S 16 look.
This season’s colours are defined by grey and green, so make sure you purchase a few shorts, shirts and suits in those hues!
A bag says a lot about a man – can you imagine the characters of Mad Men using anything other than a briefcase? But the ‘in’ thing this coming season is the humble backpack.
By strapping on one of these throughout the spring and summer, the impression that you’ll give off is that you’re a man who’s fashion forward and on the pulse when it comes to looking good!
Festival season will be coming around soon enough, and whether or not you’re pleased with the line-ups that will define summer 2016, there’s no time like the present to start prepping what you’re going to wear.
Wellies, a hat and wearing layers that you can pop on or take off depending on the heat of the day will make your experience a lot comfortable. It’ll mean that all you have to worry about is whether you’re going to make the main stage in time to see your favourite act!
Kam Big & Tall
Originally founded in 1985, the iconic Kam clothing brand started creating their collection based on traditional basic denim. Nowadays, they have expanded their operations and worked alongside designers to create attire that caters towards more fashion conscious males.
As a result, you can expect to find all of their clothes appropriate for the coming season; whether it ends up being a scorcher or as wet and windy as always.
Throughout the Season
Although we’ve covered a few different bases ready for the coming season, it’s likely that there will be an evolution of trends as the months progress.
